A lingering reverie.

This is March

The cup of tea
with the kick of ginger
is a slow drink
in March.
The view of bare trees
swaying in the lingering winter
to the wind's
drumroll serenade framed
by the window
upon a life resolved as
Avocado leaves straining
for light from the LED bulb
is satisfying.
This is March,
slack tide claimed
before the jaws
of April.
