Friends by Ann Wood

You can only have one friend, but he is faithful to the grave.
A friend in need is known; he will lend you a hand when you fall to get up.
There can be many acquaintances but few real friends.
A true friend will not ask unnecessary questions but will help you.
A true friend does not only look for you when he needs you; he is by your side in good and bad times.
If you have at least one faithful friend, keep him as your eyes, because he is like happiness only once comes.
Friend, give me a hand and hug me because yesterday he will not return, today he will leave, and tomorrow he may never come.
I love you, my dear friends, you know who you are, and I will always love you.

Friendship and the greatness thereof. As a growing child I was taught how to be a friend; most people don't experience the trial and errors of life as you learn to forgive and exchange apologies and continue as friends or simply move on a bit wiser. I remember going to check on a friend that crossed my mind and I just wanted to be in their company because I cared about them. A friend, as you have stated so well is at times a brother or sister you never had or that brief moment of that casual passing by that pays a visit once again but this time you share the past and present in greater detail. Thanks for the wonderful memories as I too agree. Have a great day and see you soon. FE
