My New Year Attitude

On the right foot I must start the new year
Because I shouldn't start it with fear

I have many people in my life who love me no matter what
This year I won't be afraid to follow my gut

If I feel the urge to cry
I will cry to help me get by

If I feel like being alone
I will be alone because it's better than the unknown

If I feel like spending time with you
It will be more than just something to do

I've hid myself for way to long
It's time to embrace myself and be strong

I don't need to be insecure
Or to have my mind be a prisoner

It's time to put my mind to rest
And count all the reasons I am blessed!
