Twisted my ankle again. Really wishing Prince Charming would carry me around.

Strong Women

When did we get so strong
that we forgot
how to ask for help?

What makes us believe
that we can do it alone?
Just the fact that we’ve had to?

And then we complain of loneliness
as if it’s been inflicted on us

I’ve read of men
who would make it easy for us
to drop our armour

But even the charmer
prefers me strong

Where am I allowed
to be myself then?
And if I’m really a soldier,
when do I get to go home?
