Green pearl without a string

He does not roll,
not one shouting proudly to the world
how that is the case

He's an orb, by name,
and a jade pearl, a pea
unthreaded

I still cannot
with ears that fold in and out

more skittish than a horse about being approached
picky and petty
but personal

and mine

It was a convoluted dad joke
that led to the name
seonbae

I do so love poetry that is in itself a bit of an enigma and requires the old grey matter some stirring. I confess that this intriguing one of yours does, to some extent, elude me, and I had to resort to asking the WWW the origin and meaning of 'Seonbae". But, if you were speaking of your father (as in dad joke) the name would likely be most appropriate. :o) Blessings, Allen
