Rebellion is not presented
By a film meant to synthesize
A narrative that is despised

Rebellion in thought and mind
Is not meant for profitable enterprise

Rebellion is a state of mind
Where like minded warriors
Expose wealthy coercion

Rebellion is artists unmasking
Sordid lies told to hide corruption

Rebellion is refusing to honor
History told by the sanctimonious

Rebellion is exposing
sadistic control mapped as righteous

Rebellion is exposing religion
As a means of manipulation

Rebellion is listening to christ teachings
Not twisted fabrications

Rebellion is critical thought
That exposes narratives that don’t exist

Rebellion is telling real stories
That history refuses to admit

Rebellion is good trouble
Presented by peaceful protest

Rebellion is refusing
To comply with vicious bequests

Rebellion is staying emotionally present
Despite the flood of orchestrated conflict

Rebellion is refusing to comply
With a government filled with hatred

Rebellion is remembering core principles
Our country supposedly committed to

Rebellion is forcing those principles
To be applied to all of us

Rebellion is fighting a Dictator,
That's clearly gone insane.
Rebellion is standing up for the oppressed,
Like the people of Ukraine.
As you can probably see, while reading this.
My imagination ran away from me.
