Sometimes we fail to appreciate the simple pleasures of life.
That we forget to enjoy the really important things in life.
Smiles and hugs, and prayers from friends,
New-born babies, and dirty-faced toddlers,
Flowers and trees, birds and butterflies,
Laughter and music, family and home.
The love of our Heavenly Father, His mercy and grace,
The guardian angels He sends, to help us along the way.
Lord, help us never to forget all these gifts that you give,
And get so busy making a living, that we forget how to live.
Our lives are for living each day for Your glory,
To worship and serve, and tell the old story.
Lord, let us live, while here on earth,
As if each day would be our last.
And enjoy to the fullest,
The small pleasures You give.
For, though it's not perfect, this world we live in,
You filled it with wonders of nature and life,
And glimpses of heaven, if we'll take the time to see,
That the important things in life really are free.

The Important Things In Life
Sometimes we get so bogged down with the chores of life,That we forget to enjoy the really important things in life.
