Just being Thankful for my blessing


This Christmas

Christmas is coming
electricity is running
children are excited
distant relatives
are invited

Presents are wrapped
gifts are stacked
Mother is cooking
children are looking

forward to that day
dreaming of game
systems to play
XBOX 360, or
Playstation 3
PSP or MP3

Me I'm thanking
God I'm blessed
trying to make my son's
first Christmas his best
that's stupid since
he's never had one before
he's in my life now so
I guess I really know
who this best Christmas is for

so I'll go for the biggest
smile and hardest laugh
if I can make that happen
Christmas will be a blast

He'll smile at the tree
then he'll look up and
smile at me
I'll smile back and
look like it didn't mean
much but Tammie
will know that's an act

I smile in my heart
and thank God for
my son
then I wish the
Happiest Holiday
to everyone..
