i saw her the other day...sitting on a hospital bench, her head bowed, waiting, hoping, praying.....which way will things go?.....come the dawn, will she be grieving or laughing?...
fate has tossed the coin....on which side will it fall?...

1.
where there is death,
there is a darkness,
for a flame that was,
is no more...
...and where there is a darkness,
there is a weeping
for things that cannot be
what they were before...
2.
where there is breath,
there is a gladness,
for a wind that nearly stilled,
blows once more...
...and where there is a gladness,
there is a rejoicing
for something that can be again
what it was before...
