in the wind
a time of scattered hope
pieces lost in the jig saw
still I feel your words
holding me now
in your trace lies sorrow
stealing the smile from your eyes
a falling leaf
the pitter patter of rain
all singing of pain
now days are held captive
in shadows made for tears
still in my mind
sweetness of days gone by
as leaves fall unbroken
softly to the ground
and the wind cries your name
