in nothingness

a part - the soul or perhaps
my body as I lay close to you
searching in a time of insecurity

a moment in peace and then
emptiness and hurt
so I fight away the tears

make a brave face using yesterday
letting me work through minutes
comming back to the steel in me

walking once more in nothingness
the land I choose for now

It is what we do, we use those minutes to steel ourselves, insulate in hurt - soul reaching
