Trying to struggle on

Struggling in a stormy sea
each wave threatening to drown,
feeling lost and all alone
is that the reason for your frown?

Wearing black and acting tough
trying to find the middle ground,
can't please them all, although you try
being yourself when there's never a crowd around.

Showing off, but insecure
losing the will to stay afloat,
waves keep rising, circling sharks
hoping to hell you can find a rescue boat...

.....Before the waves swamp you completely.
