A Short Poem that was Inspired by a lazy holiday on a lovely summers day in beautiful North Wales

A Slice of Day

A rolling curl of creaming surf
Laps gently on the sandy shore
A Seagull screams abuse from high
Atop a pinnicle of air
A skittering flock of Dunlin whirr
Low and fast a puff of smoke
A pair of Terns dance, dive and soar
To catch a meal that's unaware
A Cormarant hangs its wings to dry
A Crucifix for Sun and Air
A Seal rolls over on a rock and
Finding warmth goes back to doze
A gentle puff of breeze that stirs
A little sand between my toes
A patch of shingle murmurs low
Pebbles play a washboard tune
Thats a slice of day I watch
Sitting on this hot sand dune

Sounds more like a little bit of heaven to me, what better way to spend a day a pleasure to read.
