The Lost King

Helplessly meander
Back the way I'm coming from
Waves of purest blue contrast
The setting sun, the greenest grass

Love is just a word
And I am just a simple thing
Arms outstretched in cramping space
I'm The King of Lost Embrace

I had a swung note
The time was at a stand still
Father stuck it to the cause
Without a single second's loss

"Love is just a word
And I am just a simple thing"

Love these two lines
And the poem itself is great.
I don't know why, but your poetry seems to draw my mind into it like fireflies drawn to the light.
Amazing work sir!

yeah!
it does sound obscurity whilst it addresses some wonderful memories of being in love which were ceased by the time and more by acceptance to some another dearly bond...any ways i liked it:)
keep writing !

very, very obscure in definement but alive with texture and imagery. I appreciate the complexity of your text. : ) kathy
