Lonely Or Broken?




If tis better to own a lonely
heart then a broken one,
How come we keep on searching?
As that's what breaks and brings us undone.

Is it better to have lost
with love and bare the pain?
Or to block and never let love near?
which I think would be a shame.

Tis with love I think
we should flow,
Despite it's pains, Really, it's
Something cherished we shouldn't let go.

.....But is a lonely heart better then a broken one?

I think whether we have a broken heart or one that is full of love depends on how the one we hope loves us returns our love or doesn't return it to us doesn't it? Great work Liz!

When one reaches my age...(ahem!) one realises that broken hearts may leave a scar, but they do mend.
I am not lonely now, I regard my scars with fondness, glad they are there! They made me who I am I suppose, and that's what life's about.
