Just a silly thing that popped into my head as I was eating breakfast this morning. Definitely not to be taken seriously!!
If you have to count
Syllables in a haiku
You're doing it wrong.
It is not so hard
To feel the number seven
Surrounded by fives
But the subtle part -
A reference to nature:
Can feel quite contrived.
And the bonus theme -
Emphasize the opposites:
Few try. Many fail.
Still, I love haikus
So elegant, yet simple:
Poetry's lilies.
