English

I'm English.
As English as they come.
As English as St George, that famous 3rd century Palestinian.
As English as the flag that bears his cross;
the one we ripped off from the Italians.
As English as the indigenously Asian rose - be it red or white,
Lancastrian or Yorkshireman.
As English as the sub Saharan lions on your shirt.
As English as the plundered Indian jewels in the crown.
As English as the Chinese tea we drink daily.
As English as the queen of Teutonic extraction or the
Tower of London which was built by a Frenchman.
As English as any member of the BNP or English Defence League:
The white decedents of Germanic antecedents
Infused with a dose of neo Syrian crusaders,
Spiced lightly with Scandinavian and
500th generation Roman after our French civilisation.
Proud of our heritage and humbled
at this race of our immigrant mongrel nation.
