Daylight Fragments

Reach to brush the light
Uncovering night,

The skies are hues
Silvers and blues

Rivers pour over the trees
Where birds all sing as they please

While the rattling chains of ghosts
Unlocked by heavenly hosts

The lone comma and the final two lines give this an almost haunted feel. But there's something more... The thing that stands out in my mind is the brushing of the light. It seems that in response to the reaching, the light seems to shy away, revealing the night.
