It is said that Mother was found in the rosebeds playing
her flute, but in her defense the sunshine is warmest there.


Mother Has An Episode

Mother had one of 'her episodes' in the garden this morning
While conducting choir practice with the flowers
She tried to give a chrysanthemum a shot of vitamin C
And taught an azalea bush the alphabet, omitting A&Z
(what kind of bush would an alea be?)
Such a beautifully curious garden on her island in the sun
You know, Mother's such an artist, no one can stop her once she has begun.
