2023-11-22 I wonder, if you did one day reach the Emerald City, the "them of them," and you saw behind the wizard's curtain, that the allure would be no more. I mean, do you ever really know someone, or want to? Are we not sometimes happier with the mystery? I guess, if you're there throughout the lions and tigers and bears ( oh my!), and you fight off the flying monkeys, then at least you have shared history and common ground. You may even sing a common song?

SAW A WOMAN READING
2023-07-30 Said the woman, to her self,
Begging soft,
Pleading quiet,
" Come, savage truth, from this page,..
Will you tempt? Is it courage? Is it love written here?
Can you soak me in a story yet unknown?"
( Or something like that?)

A Fragile Life
2023-07-30 I think ( thoughts being so delicate, as you say too), that reading this over and over, makes it more enjoyable. I'm sitting happily between the words, letting them filter through. I could write a technical breakdown, but, it is enough for me to say yes, this one, I like. Thank you

Stone
2023-07-22 Well, I'm glad you did finish this one. It's a very humble poem, with a hopeful end. What could be more affirming than the promise of the sun coming up every morning?

Fragment
2023-06-27 I wonder if you wrote this from one of those places where Summer is feared, uncomfortable. It doesn't matter really, what matters is I believed it was. Thank you. But, seeing happiness amidst it all in a little harp.

2023-06-17 Hurrah! I love grandma. She's a lady boss, a subtle queen , teacher, guardian. Let us sit awhile in her company ( if we're allowed) and learn a thing or two about protecting our own.

At the end by Ann Wood

2023-06-17 We all walk away with a wooden suit. That is an epic line. Thank you for reminding us to live every moment.
Three-Liners
2023-06-17 Ooh I like these, they are like powershots of poetry, a quick fix for the reader to ingest and then allow to reach all poetry parched parts. Although, it is evident they are definately very considered. My favourite, for what it counts, is Yesteryear's verses.

the first cherries
2023-06-15 Cherry pips, the start of a tree, like your ma and grandma, you, all part of the circle, the poem rhythm, start at the begining, ending at the start, everything in sync, the poem, the cycle, the family, very, very cleverly done

MEDICAL DILEMNA
2023-06-15 It's the old problem, not enough time, too many Data analysts to accommodate, but yes, I can remember when I was small, you had a family doctor, who knew you, who you respected, who came to your home if you were sick, who cared beyond the confines of his desk. I can still smell the antiseptic of the waiting room. Dr Cheshire was our gp. Old school.

twelfth night, awaiting
2023-06-08 Welllll, this is rather delicious. All that promise in, what, 14 lines? But the last two wrap it up neatly and tie it with a perfect bow, laced in a perfume of salty ocean danger.
You can mic drop now and leave the stage.

under the eaves
2023-06-08 This reminds me of the beginnings of a Lewis Carrol, in some way, humanizing her, i see her more as an Alice in Wonderland character, sitting on top of a paper throne, with a golden paper crown, and a paper lace gown.

Sundry Notebook Jottings

2023-06-05 Love it because, this is how I see the world too, I was beginning to think I was a bit odd, but, now I see, maybe lovers of words interact on a different level with the world, or maybe think a bit deeper or something, maybe journal keeping is a new idea . Thank you

2023-06-04 I too love the morning, before anyone else is awake. You captured the spiritual interaction between human and nature, a salutation of sorts to the earth and it's fresh promise every morning.
