Lourdes, after reading and giving this much thought, I am feeling that the pain is necessary in the growth of love because if we do not grow, we become numb. Love the complexity of this small verse. Not sure if I am understanding your meaning, but I am understanding what I get from it. I guess that is what poetry is all about. Complexity, diversity, creativity, and reality. Plus more that I can ever know. Thank you for challenging my brain and feelings. : ) kathy
