Twilight shimmers in your smile.
(The sunset still echoes beneath the whites of your eyes.)

We drink each other in through the straws of the moon
whose stray fingers creep through the trees;

And I just wish
just once
you would find the nerve to just

KISS ME.

The stars are begging to be entertained
and the grasshoppers are singing their plaintive chorus

just for us.

Besides...
no one will see in the twilight.

Mm. I always rather preferred sunset when the sky is painted excricuatingly beautiful. Twilight is the giving up of that fight.

Then again, pitch-black night isn't bad, either.
