Buildings Drown

Somewhere downtown where the buildings drown

In banks of fog crosshatched by graphite lines

Where ghosts cross paths with forgotten laughs

And memories of better times

Recall a day when it was ok to say

That light and love was truth

Before nothing grew into nothing new

I know, but have no proof

Move to where I wear a madmans' crown

Somewhere downtown where the buildings drown
