A Rainy Day by Ann Wood
Hooray! It started raining today for the first time in weeks, and the weather has cooled down a bit.The long-awaited rain has finally arrived.
It was a long, hot summer; the weather warmed up as early as mid-February, and there had been almost no rain.
Outside, the air smells of wet grass and earth; it feels fresher, and you can sense autumn in the air.
I missed the rain and the scent of wetness so much.
