Together At Last
The day was set.The time was too.
All our friends.
Would see us through.
This choice now made.
Would seal our fate.
Together forever.
We couldn't wait.
The day now here.
Music in the air.
Feelings of cheer.
A formal affair.
My bride beside me.
We walked down the aisle.
For all the world to see.
Both dressed in style.
The rings in hand.
We then exchanged them so.
This action would now bestow.
Something that was grand.
The questions were asked.
Acceptance there after.
Our feelings not masked.
Our friends filled with laughter.
New beginnings to be born.
Eternity to see them through.
Happiness and no more scorn.
All with one phrase: I do.
