Water connects hearts
Crashing Waves crumble mountains
Oceans of People

Seaside Delights (Aaron's Ocean Challenge)
Emerald waters rush to shore
turbulently tossing abandoned shells,
scattering them across white sand,
impregnating the air with fishy smells.
Golden haired children and waves dance
together, playing a game of "Keep-Away."
Sand pails and shovels make castles
built by crouched cherubs delighted in play.
Mothers and fathers watch their young,
lathering sunblock across tender skin.
Aromatic scents of coconut
wafted softly among strangers and kin.
Tanned taut bodies of teens displayed
stroll along, ogling each other,
hoping that attraction unites
couples intrigued by one another.
The ocean and beach create unity
among creatures from sea to shore,
sating the senses with delights
ravenously consumed and wanting more.
The sand, the sea, the changing shore
in balance by creation's plan.
God's infinite wisdom prescribed
that all nature is molded by His hands.

Sparkling wind-waves rising high
Expanse of endless, restless sea,

It's all for you, my loved, all my sea of love
of endless care and generosity,
of all my life and its creativeness,
my whole production and all that I lived for,
all the beauty I have lived for, all my music above all.
Just take it, drown in it, protect it and enjoy it,
let my music's affluence inspire you
and match the generosity and full length of your gorgeous hair,
and be magnanimous, magnificent and magic
with the manifoldness of this sea that I bequeath you,
greater than the lands of all the earth and richer
with its endlessness of life and love
that man can never understand or fathom
except lovers of the same kind of dynamic bottomlessness
as creative freaks like you and me, both drowned in our abyss
of the ultimate perfection of the beauty of pure music
manufactured and created only out of the profoundest melody
of love that only can be found beyond the depths of all the oceans.

The Oceans symphony ( coolaarons challenge)
Clouds gathered in like an expectant audience
A hushed excitement, the air is charged
Waves caress the shore, like soft violins
Tempo rises, the show is about to start
A lightning stroke, the cymbals crash
Thunder roars as a roll of drums
Waves crash together, a crescendo
The ocean is playing her overture
Like flutes in tune the wind blows her song
And tambourines rattle as raindrops that fall
In perfect harmony the buoy-bell rings
The symphony of the sea begins
And high above sings a choir of gulls
Crashing waves on the rocks, their applause
The mist draws back to reveal the dawn
And the moon takes her final bows

Till every grain was gone

i am chilled
i am hollow
and i think about silence
... how does that go?
(i should have been a pair of shabby tentacles?)
when the seas are savage
i seem only to find the shadows of thought
and the moments of murder
(i should have been two ragged talons?)
children are crying for blankets
mothers are tending sleepless nights
and fathers are drowning at their desks...
how DOES that go?!
(i should be a couple of jagged feelers?)
but the silence is wriggling
the seas are empty
the claws have been pinned
(and i don't know how to scuttle)

I remember that faithful day by the ocean
The waters touch filled with devotion
The setting sun over my head
Euphoric thoughts replacing my dread
Barefoot on the beach and yet I knew
Our connection would be forever true
The sea now the letter to your heart
The waves have been truly a piece of art
Salty seas have made me wonder
If our love was just a blunder
I broke your heart and now I see
My actions were vicious and caused you to flee
My last plee to you as the waves come in
Washing away my pain and my sin
Please come back to the place that felt so free
Our place of connection, the majestic sea
