This poem talks about having the choice to make right decisions but still making the wrong ones. Thanks Saga for the inspiration!!!!

Wall Folly

One wall
In the dessert
It blocked my path
This wall was only 10 feet long

I had the choice
To easily go around
But I still focused
On the wall

My many attempts
Failed in comparison
I tried jumping, climbing
Pushing, pulling

I even tried breaking through
That attempt bruised not only me
But my over inflated ego

What was I missing?
This wall was a real pain
I couldn't pass this wall
This force denying me entry

After hours of thinking
Common sense kicked in
There had to be another way
My eyes were open to the truth

I could see beyond the wall
The exits were clear
I stood up and walked
I then left the wall behind
