A Higher Plain ~Off Challenge~

Before the end had come to soon
We use to lie together until noon
Our budding "Love" was as real as a dream
But the latter existed to boost my esteem
She never told me her father had a rule
That had a strict following and the sentence cruel
One night together she told me this tale
I couldn't believe it, had the truth prevailed
After hours of talking I accepted this fact
But would my psyche stay intact
Next day by the old wooden bridge
That overlooked the colorful ridge
I slipped her a kiss that would remind
Her of the sweet love we shared and
How much I cared
I walked away that faithful day
With a heart felt memory that would always stay

BlueyedSoul
it is always sad to see a relationship end because of rules of judgement....i always like happy endings, but unfortunatly they don't always happen.

nice work
