Sparkling Diamond (What is Love Challenge)
Love is a feeling that burnsOff your deepest desires, it yearns
For an emotion that's ready to deal
With the fallout that's all but surreal
But is it real this emotion
That comes in like waves in the ocean
Can leave anytime
No it isn't a crime
But it does not show your devotion
Life's the foundation to build
A connection that's ready to yield
Feelings anew, not feelings askew
With time love could be your shield
Times been my friend for awhile
It's caused my actions to smile
On the world with pride
But I must decide
What makes my spirit worthwhile
I hope my actions have shown
That I'd never leave you alone
When the world's on attack
And the spikes at your back
I'll protect you from the drifting unknown
