A dedication to a man I greatly admired
A smile which he would knowingly reveal
Dressed nicely and held his head up high
Dreams with which he could touch the sky
Everyday he would appear
I would admire his strength and never fear
I knew inside his life was grand
He had the power to make a stand
One morning with the sun shining high
We got a message that would make us cry
This man had unexpectedly passed away
A misfortune on this average day
In his sleep he had seen the light
He's in a better place not filled with plight
I wish I could have said hi
When I was in the hall and he would walk by
Now I know this man had a plan
Who to us had already began
His presence in time had caused us leaven
This dignified man now resides in heaven
