A tale of a little girl without any friends...

Alone in this world

She sat there, all alone
waiting for her new found friend to call on the phone
That friend who said she'd call as soon as she could
It had only been a lie, infact she never would-

Why is the world such a lonely place?
The little girl asked herself, hands in her face
A tiny tear found itself down her palm
She started to shiver, she could not stay calm

The sadness was killing her from inside
If she only was able to confide
in someone that she could trust
Yet that someone was none existant in her life, to find that person was to her a must

She searched high and low
And found not a friend nor a foe
Until one faithful day
When she met little ms. Joanne Mae

They found each other right away
"Please, let us be friends, can't you stay?"
She asked with a fragile tune
"Sure I'll stay, I'll stay all the month of June"

Said Joanne, "and all other months too"
Finally she'd found her friend, and her life could start a-new...

Great poem!!!There is definately something to loneliness:It is possibly the worst and most hopeless feeling in the world. This poem was a great example of someone slipping out of the grasp of loneliness and it was very tastefully done.
