Mans disreguard for others is shown

Cold Reflection

(Picture a rainy night in New York City)

Part 1.

Alarms, screeching, imminent crash

2 children 1 mom

Head on collision with a drunk driver

Darkness reaches in with ragged hands

Children lose their sacred angel

Bystanders continue with their commute

Both left to perish into abyssal darkness

Part 2.

Midnight with dim street lights on

Robbery occurred, woman nurturing her baby

Point blank range shot

Woman critically injured

Baby died minutes later

Part 3.

Party finished, early morning

He stumbles in drunk and confused

She goes to greet him

Stupidity gets the best of him

Pistol whipped, beaten; bruised

Jaw broken and forever silent

These events manifest themselves as "her"

an everlasting figment of mankind forever

lost in the darkness of blind society

shaul
none can rate a poem,
its the idea of heart.
critics may try to find out the reason only...
in this particular poem, i see a guy,
who is trying to find a answer, but he doesn't know the question yet. i am sure which one is the problem-- the material of death or the death himself... one thing i must say its easy to collect a picture of brutal death only its heard to know why we breath to live.
