I remember when there was a time

Where I had to watch my back

The air was filled with poison

The ground was on the attack

Each step forward brought fear

There was no where to run

I just couldnt cry anymore

I felt my life was done

I remember a time of peace

So many years ago

In a land filled with promise

The hills a bright red glow

Now here I stand with a problem

That only time can rectify

If I don't act quickly

My own lifeforce will nearly die

Memories are the only thing

That keep my heart in line

I only wish for the safety of others

This choice is surely divine
