Vunerable Heart ~Aaron Style~

If I said I love you
Could you say it back
Words with such meaning
All seem to fall from grace
And the subtle pain subsided
Has been such a disgrace
My heart is here open and free
The mind keeps watchful eye
When the ground beneath shakes
I can't help but watch and cry
Angels above shower my hurt
In waves of dawning light
The forces that make my heart impure
Feast on my ever lasting spite
If I said I love you
Could you say it back
And mean each word truthfully
To know that later on
That our hearts will entwine
That my wishes, thoughts and ideas
Could come together and make you mine
When at last I say I love you
Reguardless of what I lack
Those words of pure heart and soul
I can never take them back

When in love,
it is not easy to confess,
many of my male friends tell me,
they don't confess, because they fear rejection,
Which breaks the heart, the ego, the will to go on...
But, once you have confessed, it is out, and as you rightly said,
Cannot be taken back...
So, one has to be careful when one declares one's love...
