A response to "Cherries in My Lemonade" by Kathy Lockhart : )

Limes in My Lemonade

Limes in my lemonade
What a glorious cascade
Never met a melon rind
Yet my hearts feeling fine
Feeling the music of the street
And a popping song in my feet
Spending my days in the pie of life
Waiting to break free with loves knife
Theres a girl that makes my heart twirl
The oyster that contains my pearl
From one thing to another
She a person like no other
Fills my mind with a red rose
Something special I suppose
She calls me inifinite field
For each rose that I yield
Porch days and sun rays
Limes in my lemonade
What a delecious parade
Nothing touches my heart
Apart from the jade eyes
That stare into my soul
And like that take control
Of my bright life source
And put my sense back on course
