An Ocean Of Stars, part 1

banished from the life I knew
to a world in peril, too
the very first monster that I slew
was not the first time I'd save you

unbeknown to us then the path of our lives
entwined forever, sealed with monsters cries
epic battles fought under moonlit skies
ending the start of history's demise

knowing that my life would end
I returned to the arms of more then a friend
fear and love I held inside
not knowing we'd survive the two planets collide

fields of intelligence, love, courage, and power
tested our resolve with every passing hour
with you by my side I could never be defeated
the strength of our bond was all we ever needed

in the wake of destruction and the battles we've now won
I am uncertain of where my life will lead me to
this note you'll see upon your bedside when you wake to meet the rising sun
I ask you now to take my hand so I can live my life with you
