I Picked You A Daisy

well it's definately been too long
for me to start moving on
I'm tired of waiting and hoping
for something thats probably just plain gone

it's way past time to say goodbye
not to you though, im not leaving
just the things inside I was saving for you
time to slow the stream of grieving

I picked you a daisy
but you already have a rose
it sucks and I'm sorry but
it's for the best I suppose

the feelings I have inside of me
they won't ever leave you see
but I can't sit around forever waiting
for something that probably won't be

feel better tomorrow, cry today
a small comfort in knowing I
didn't deserve you anyway
