My wish

A lonely star in the midnight sky.
I look up and wonder why,
A lonely star twinkling in the night
Is glowing and sparkling ever so bright?

Aloud but quietly I say,
I am going to make a wish on you, okay?
A wish for me, I am not going to make,
But a wish for all of you, when you awake.

I wish for all your dreams to come true,
And that you find peace and happiness in all you do.
I wish for you to be loved for the rest of your days,
for life will never cease to amaze.
