Echo

~*~*~*~

how often I wish
to talk to him,
to delve into his endless ocean of wonder
immerse my mind in his keen intellect
would one conversation be enough?
no lifetime could draw more bliss,
eternity just might satisfy my need
but Reality is a cruel bandit,
unmerciful in its thievery,
larcenous of time and heart.
thus i sit and wait
then find
my voice is sent
but is silenced
a hollow Echo
Narcissus never heard

Hmmm I see anger at not being noticed. Sometimes its not narcissistic but simply unable to see what is obvious? I like how you took the yearning and fulfilled the emotion of the time.

this is very intricate and interwoven with a delicate and very brilliant twist for the reader to grasp in the end. Very nice work Blue.

A beautiful write of the loneliness of the heart,

Reality is a cruel bandit - how true that can be!
