...a love poem (see note at bottom of poem)

In That Moment

My glabella puckered.
Flowing globes
salted the lips.
But like a kitten's lick,
you replaced it with delight.
Ivory twinkles lit up the moment
as all your kisses
found their places.
In that moment,
you smoothed out my pain
and made my heart purr.
You put the smile
back on my face.

Word Origin & History

glabella
"space between the eyebrows," 1598, Mod.L., lit. fem. of adj. glabellus "without hair, smooth," dim. of glaber "smooth, bald," cognate with O.E. glæd "bright, shining, joyous" (see glad).
