I was bored so thought I'd try the

forgive me challenge.

My Selfish Ways, Please Forgive

Your heart into a thousand pieces,

unintentionally, I broke

I know the life,

from me, you want to choke.

But although many

careless things I do,

believe, please, that

really I didn't mean to hurt you.

Forgive my selfish ways

please know your pain

causes anguish to my days.

I understand away from me you turn

in anger, hurt, disgust,

but before our bones turn to dust,

Can you please forgive me?

You always write brave poems, poems that turn your inside out and expose your soul. I admire that.
I do think you could polish up the format a little without sacrificing any of the compelling self confession.
Thanks again for your work. It connects with me.

This is certainly "colorful"!
PS: Does line 6 have a word left out? "things" maybe?
