In the far north light is different. It has attitude.

denim dawnlight

something decidedly blue

about the pre-dawn

strolling down the street

sniffing flowers in other people's gardens

checking your mail box

for a first-hand peek at the sports section

something denim and slouching

cool no matter how you look at it

will still greet the nextdoor tom

and the hedgehog

something level and leaning

like the streak of a pinprick meteorite

axial tilt bringing white nights

and cool mornings

in blue jeans

I like the attitude of this poem, Katarina. But more I like its intelligence ... words like "axial" fly off the page, shine in that different hue you describe.

I love the atmosphere you create in this piece. I can see the soft light and the ease of living in the moment of morning with "blue jeans" Well done. Thanks for the vision!
