Devils blood

Hi dee
Sorry you feel that way I must confess,
I feel depressed everyday. So I sort of know
what your going through. I can feel the pain
in each word you've written, I agree with Ken.
You sound as though you have a lovely soul,
Don't believe you are bad in anyway, stop
listening to those thoughts that tell you that you are.
Their not what your God would want you to do.
Take care of yourself dee and know you have
found friends here on poetbay.
Regards Alan

The Weight

2026-04-20
As a man I'm disgusted with this,
I feel anyone who rapes,
Should be castrated.
Especially when it's considered
That someone who's a rapist,
Doesn't get the punishment to
Fit the crime.

The God Of Empire

A very thoughtful poem,
Well written.

IMPROPER TEA PARTY

2026-04-14
It's strange to think you can travel,
Far out into space and looking back at earth.
You can see the past, yet we can already do that
Within ourselves, to find an inner piece.

Narrow Straits

2026-04-14
Although the contents sound dire,
A nicely expressed metaphor.
Even though you may believe there's
Choppy waters ahead, along the way,
May you sail your seas to a calmer life.

You've done for all the poeteers
What Lawrence did for Arabia.
And I mean in a spectacular way.
You are the Joan of arc of poetry,
Cherished by all here on poetbay.
Huge amount of hugs sent your way.
Xx regards from Alan and his tribe.

I'm Only Human

2026-04-06
The hurt we endured when we were younger
Never truly goes away, Yet for others can
Never truly feel what we live with day by day.
My heart goes out to you my friend,
With hugs and kisses sent along the way.
Never ever give up upon yourself for,
We would truly miss you here on poetbay.
Regards Alan. You have a beautiful soul.

Over Shifting Ground

For the on lookers looked on,
In disbelief, For they saw him walk on water.
For they couldn't see the path beneath,
The waters edge displayed.

Apparemment pas

2026-04-06
Hi again
Although we're world's apart,
I feel the same way.
Everytime I'm with someone
Mentally I freeze. I have to
Know someone a long time
Before I can trust them, writing
and talking to strangers is for me
Two different things. I've opened
up a little since joining your poetbay.
Thanks for posting happy Easter
Dear friend. Regards Alan

Proud to claim this man's A Friend

2026-03-29
Hi Melanie
Just a little note to say,
I don't suffer with mixed dementia:
I quite enjoy it.
It's the people that surround me,
That suffer the most.
Forgetting what I've written,
Gives me the freedom of expression.
If I was anymore laid back,
I'd fall out of my chair.
I'm sure that Ed was proud to be your friend.
As I am too. Regards Alan.

The Council’s Verdict

2026-03-27
Hi Melinda from sunny Eastbourne,
Or so the brochures say.
All our little critters from,
The common ant carry with them,
Tiny little umbrellas.
Because it rains so much, even the stick insects
Always put their wellies on. The old centipede
Sometimes forgets that it may have rained,
He goes to his front door looks out and says,
" Oh no not again goes back inside ".
Then starts to put on his wellies once again.
Loved your poem. One of the poem's I wrote
Was called critters. Regards Alan.

If We Knew

2026-03-25
Hi Melinda
I've written on this subject
Many times, And wondered;
If there's a insect heaven.
Where man has to stand for his crimes.
When he's knowingly committed insecticide?
I hope the punishment doesn't fit the crimes,
Otherwise we could all be guilty in their eyes.
Another great post.
Regards Alan

The ageing farmer....

2026-02-15
A few of my customers were farmers,
One of them told me at christmas time.
The supermarkets that brought from them,
Dropped the price of many items by half price.
But expected the farmers to bear the brunt of the price drop.
So they can make the same profits.

Rebellion Is

2026-02-13
Rebellion is fighting a Dictator,
That's clearly gone insane.
Rebellion is standing up for the oppressed,
Like the people of Ukraine.
As you can probably see, while reading this.
My imagination ran away from me.
Thanks for sharing kee.
For blessed are those that think of others.
Regards Alan.

Each time it brightens up my mind,

That brightens up our days.

Stubborn Hair

2026-02-08
Hi in'kwa
a fine piece of poetry,
About someone you loved.
That was taken away sadly,
To somewhere Above. Very
sad don't I know it, That was
Written by a fellow poet.
Sometimes it helps to write,
I'm certain that Kip would
Have looked down and smiled
At your lovely poem.
Sad regards Alan.

Wisps of Summer

2026-02-05
Memories Melinda
The mammoth of my mind,
I search all recesses.
To see just what I'll find.
When I climbed up,
upon your ferris wheel.
It opened up my mind.
Thanks for sharing.
WISPS OF SUMMER
This blast from the past.

The Silent Ones

2026-02-04
Hi Melinda
I remain silent most of the time,
Dementia doesn't help with,
The word's I wish to find.
Digesting each word that comes out,
Of someone's else's mouth.
only later in day that,
I process what was said.
Sometimes I find there's a lot,
Of extra drivel floating in my head.
Nuff said.
Regards Alan

The Cost of Comfort

2026-01-25
Strange to hear that nine bullets were fired, yet
The only one That was shot was standing up
for rights was holding a camera.
( according to British news)
It seems that the attack against illegal immigrants,
Isn't just about; The immigrants. If it was wouldn't this
Pertain to all states. Shame on the person who
Thought killing was acceptable.
My heart goes out to family and friends of the many
That are killed for no reason. For trying to stand up
for the rights of others.
Regards Alan
