2023-09-07 The joys of simplicity of life,
All my life I've had little craved more,
Yet the cynical me would disagree.
For the joys of simplicity of life,
Is all I should ever need.
Your poem resonates with me extremely well

2023-08-25 There's only two words that I can think of,
That I feel puts all of mankind into a
category of it's own for allowing this.
Disgust and shame. No one has the
Right to do this. My heart goes out to all
Who lost friends and relatives at this
Most reviled time. Regards Alan

2023-08-25 Esti.... How dare someone who purported to be,
Father Christmas treat a child of three
In this way! And an ill one at that.
Unfortunately the real father Christmas,
Wouldn't even treat his elves like that.
Here's hoping he was fired from the guild of
father Christmases and didn't receive any
Presents that year being on the naughty list.
Thanks for sharing, regards Alan

Glad for the Glass
|
|
2023-07-17 As I took out an upturned glass,
I said to carol, This glass is stupid
there's no hole in the top.
No she said but there's one in the bottom.
Oh that explains why there's no hole in the top,
My beer would run out....

2023-07-05 I know how you feel,
We've had several pets over the years.
Including a rescue cat when I was small.
She was well grizzled when we got her,
She had her claws removed and her teeth,
We gave her a home and several laps to share.
Pets are like children to us. We miss them too.

2023-07-03 Hi Melissa
Nice to see you on poetbay again.
I agree with you, unfortunately life itself isn't sacroscent,
The powers that be are willing to save lives.
But only if it benefits themselves,
Or maybe in this case they were not willing to try,
Incase they failed....

A sad news by Ann Wood
|
|
2023-05-16 Dear dear Ann
I feel very sad about the loss of two of your friends.
A friend of ours was killed on a zebra crossing,
Not to long ago, Pam and her husband
Were three quarters across when she was hit..
Sadly he had just been diagnosed with dementia.
Shame they can't change the speed limit
Approaching crossing to 20mph.
30mph is a death sentence.
