A FEW MOLECULES OF MY LOVE
|
|
2025-09-30 It's nice to feel that way about the one you love,
I've been with mine 57 years , married fifty one.
It's only when we met that my life had begun.
Thanks for sharing. Regards Alan.

In Flesh Confined
|
|
2025-09-30 Were all confined to the bone,
Living on this troubled land together
Yet separate alone. I wish that could be me,
I'm not allowed out by myself.
If I could escape my tortured mind,
Then at least I could be free.
Welcome to the madhouse E.M
Of some very fine writers here on poetbay.
Regards Alan

Toxic Friendship
|
|
2025-09-24 Melissa I understand where you're coming from,
I myself like many others have fair Weather friends.
Who never stayed in touch, Think we should
forgive them, sometimes it's hard for people
to even pick up the phone. With dementia it keeps
me from remembering names and sometimes
face's. As always love reading your poetry.
Regards Alan

Don't look up
|
|
2025-09-12 It's said Dougie that people are are so embroidered
in themselves, that they don't see the world around them.
Recently a girl in a shop in my town was attacked,
She was in a card shop in her wheelchair, Nobody
in the shop saw it happen. Even though one of the staff
called the police. She was attacked from behind.
An unprovoked attack. Seems we're living in a don't care society....

2025-05-14 Hi Sona, thanks for your posting
I cringe at the thought of meeting others in person,
Yet as a television engineer I excelled and
Always treated others with respect and kindness.
Party's was something I took the wife too.
But in reality I never stood out but blended into the background.

Options
|
|
2025-04-07 Any surgery is a tough option,
My heart goes out to you.
It may seem there's tough times ahead,
Then again if there's no other options.
Personally I think I'd prefer surgery,
I now there's a lot of what if's your going through.
But if all goes smoothly it takes about a month
to recover. But no more swinging from the chandler.
Dear Isabel. ( hope I've spelt your name right )
Only I seem to forget names these days.
Take care hugs and kisses from
Alan and the rest of his tribe.

I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND
|
|
2025-02-17 Hi Ken
Most of my writing and rhymes,
Comes from inspirational creativity
Of things I see or hear.
A single word can sometimes
Invoke a poem or a story.
Keep doing what you're doing Ken,
I'll try to do the same.
Regards Alan.

2025-02-05 Sometimes ken I feel they don't give the author
Enough credit on some tv programs and films
If they mention their names at all
It's normally in the smallest print

2024-12-18 Hi Allen.

20 minutes if I take the car. Another 5 minutes
while I hunt for a disability spot for my wife.

How to spell my name.

Not Allan as I used to spell it.

Wandering Back to the Earth

2024-09-17 There are many of us outside of life,
That understand how you must feel.
It's sad to think that even though she wanted
a day at the beach. She wouldn't have remembered it,
I would love to say for me ,This is a memorable poem.
But with mixed dementia I can't remember the poem's
That I've written. My heart goes out to you.
