Your body is electric
|
|
2024-02-11 All sorts of thoughts rang through my head
As I read the title, The poem did the same.
Do electric sheep have electric dreams
A si fi book by P. K Dick nothing to do with poetry...
It's strange how a few words can invoke ones thought process.
The title alone acts like a muse inviting me in. The poem does the same.

MINDS LEFT TO BE UNDER DEVELOPED
|
|
2024-02-03 Our old town library is kept going, Only because of the locals.
Our Eastbourne library has a underground,
Theatre They advertised for a poet's evening.
Where you could go and share your poetry,
When I arrived I noticed it was for female poet's only.
For library's to stay open people need to use them,
Government needs to step in to help libraries diversify.
Thanks for posting ken. Regards Alan.

His music came alive in me.
He was and is one of the greats.
Luckily we can still enjoy his music.

2023-12-24 Hi F.M it's nice to here from you again.
If you've read my poetry, you would realise
I'm writing, scribing without a brain.
To someone like me it's nice to see,
and read. Your writing again.
Your not insignificant,
You've touched to many hearts over time.
If you haven't guessed as well as mine.
Salutations my friend. It's Christmas time,
From Alan and the rest of his tribe.
And may next year be better than the last.

DOCTORS PEP TALK
|
|
2023-12-21 As I said in one of my poems Dougie.
I haven't worked out where I'm going to spend eternity.
Smoking or non smoking..
Thanks for reading and caring Dougie.
Stupid thing is I received a text from the doctor's,
Asking me how would I rate my visit.
Under the circumstance I thought it was taken the
Proverbial. As for swearing I do if the occasion
Calls for it. For instance....
Doctor goes onto a ward, says "I want every patient
Fitted with a catheter". Nurse says, "Are you joking!".
Doctor replys. "No I'm taking the piss".
That's one of my jokes, feel free to use it.
Salutations my friend, regards Alan
