For the Lost

Restore the light to those darkened eyes
Come sacred spirits , bid her rise
That she might feel the sun again
That she might feel the sun

Scatter roses around her heart
Banish stillness, command it start
That she might feel my love again
That she might feel my love

Bring back caresses to lifeless lips
Responsive to my finger tips
That she might feel my kiss again
That she might feel my kiss

Come ruthless time, for I`ll not wait
Decide, rewind or accelerate
That we might be as one again
That we might be as one

This feels very much like a song. I love it!

I must have missed this one, so glad I saw it on editors choice. It rises and falls beautifully, the opening stanza is stunning, I feel uplifted after reading it, bookmarked.
