While I saw you cry

I saw the tears upon your face

A look of pain and heartbreak

No flower can replace

While I saw you cry

I felt the pain of lies; despair

You felt so alone in this world of many

Who were they to care

While I saw you cry

My own heart broke in two

When thoes who smile betray

You feel there's nothing you can do

When at last I saw you smile

I felt my own spirit rise that day

To see love return to thoes how've fallen

Makes your friendship all the while
