Love isn't really permanent but just takes its time moving on

Passive Love

If we're to love each other

Then why does love become

A poison in the heart of society

A force against life's drum

A belief that at first is long accepted

Carries in reserve submissive slaves

If not kept in check by common sense

This virus could spread in waves

The internet is a perfect place

For this love to sit and wait

The people looking for a catch

Stop and think that is their fate

Maybe love in time will finally show

It's presence has some grace

Maybe then in time the pain instilled

Will subside from people's face

Kathy Lockhart
poets have written of love endlessly and yet there is always more to read and more to write and more to feel in the way of expressing, explaining, comtemplating love. Love is like the roses you have just written about in your series. It is beautiful but it also comes with thorns. But, in order to fully appreciate the fullness, the aroma, the beauty, if you will, it must be touched--both the rose and love. Your poetry has become so rich Aaron. You are a very talented young man. Your artistry translates in many avenues in your life I suspect. Well done.
