forgiveness

way in the back you try to hide
feelings you keep inside
to everyones face you lied
now friendship and distrust collide

looking back i wish so much
you used my pain as a crutch
words of comfort, friendship and such
but cold inside even with your warm touch

now you think an enemy
where always a friend should be
yeah, even after you betrayed me
i forgave, and you cant see

its funny, after everything we've been through
theres so many reasons to despise
we'll burn, and break, and heal, but see
looking back, one day you'll realize
the only reason you hate me
is because i forgave you
