I need to express my thoughts before the day is done
Friendships are hard to mend and even harder to break
I am grateful that your smiling face was not a simple mistake
There is no greater thought than basking in your smile
Its been the glue thats held our bond together all the while
Time was the very mask that broke our sacred ties
I thought I had lost my friend and said my last goodbyes
But fate would be the stand to support us through and through
Unknown to me was a friend in need, in time that person was you
I can't thank you for the times we shared if even for the night
To dance with someone so pure and sweet was to my delight
I have to sit and watch as heavens angels sing your name
If I couldn't hear your angelic voice my life couldn't be the same
I need you to know that if I'm down you'll mean the world to me
I hope the dreams you've dreamt in time will release and set you free
I plan to rush and stand by your side until our bitter end
I've been blessed to be fortunate to have such a caring friend

In Waves of Friendship
Like the rise of the silent moon with the setting sunI need to express my thoughts before the day is done
