One Year, Four Seasons

We were to fall in the leaves together
That some good might come of it
As we would spend the crisp days as one
Enjoying all the feasts that life offers

We were to fall in the snow together
That some fun would come of it
As we would spend the barren days as one
Sipping all the cocoa that life offers

We were to fall in the grass together
That some joy would come of it
As we would spend the warm days as one
Picking all the flowers that life offers

We were to fall in the water together
That some ecstacy would come of it
As we would spend the beautiful days as one
Relaxing in all the serene beauty that life offers

As seasons may change, and the weather may alter
In spite of it all, my love shall never falter
This poem is for you and you alone
So I can repay everything your radiance has shown.

I see the symbolism of love through the seasons, I also feel the repetition of the lines, very beautiful. ;)

This is written so smoothly. I love the flow of it and the sweet, sweet message in it. It is a beautiful piece.
