State of the art liars heart

I still say you a a very old and wise soul stuck in that young body.
Your poetry is that of an old and wise bard. You are and amazing kid! (((HUGS))) .

Seasoned vets

Nicely done indeed!!!
I felt so sad, when I was a kid after Nam was over. Our boys were treated so badly when hey came home and their futures were ripped from them because they suffered mentally.
Serving your country was something my father was very proud to do when he went off to Korea, years before I was born. I was taught early what serving your country meant. I have so much respect for our men and now, women who serve.

Sasja, your voice is weak

"Each night i dream of you,
That you shall make me whole.
Just as your voice remains
A ripple on my soul."

Shortsighted

2005-07-13
It has it's ups and downs and twiss and turns!!!! We try to keep them from getting hurt...the bruised knees and the bruised hearts...but we can only hide them from hurt for so long. Then all we can do is kiss the booboos and hold them when they cry.

Being a mother, this was a very emotional read for me. Done very well!!!!!

Right, don't be burdened down with the things of this world!

STRANGER

2005-07-12
This reminds me of when I spent time in Taiwan...
the poor little villiages there with unclothed children playing in the dirt asking for food.
The dogs were sparce because they ate them. EWWWW!
Well painted picture!

Oh Gentle Night, what Lips, what Eyes

Hmmmm, I have the munchies...need some chips!

I may be reading between the lines again, I do that sometimes. Your choice of words here is wonderful and the flow acceptional!

FIRE

2005-07-10
Simply a beautiful tanka.

"I feel the ripples of fire" That last line explains it all.

he whole time I was reading this I kept thinking of the Beatles song "The Fool On The Hill".
"The chances of winning the lottery are equal to those of being thunderstruck
So the next time there's a thunderstorm, don't be afraid, abide the norm
And climb up into the highest tree you can see with as many tickets you can afford and a fourleaf clover for extra luck: ~Loved this part!!!!!

Smelling rats

Translation of PoetBay

2005-07-09
Poetry is many things to many different people! Poetry is all relative, meaning that we all relate to one piece differently. That's what makes it so wonderful! I love this site, it's the very best i've seen yet!!!!

Because I could not compete with Skyscrapers and Swing Dancers

2005-07-09

Dear John: I hate paper cuts

last night and then this morning

2005-07-09
Exquisit!!!! I realy enjoy the format and choice of wording here. Especially this part.....
"on some nights
the book we read

and memory and wind
aren't always so comforting" Lovely!!!!

2005-07-09
Simply beautiful!!!! Dreamy qualities of other~wordly fantasy!!!!

Why....?

2005-07-09
Because my sweet, 'tis simply life.
Eloquently stated!

"Please...."

2005-07-09
"The more we laugh, the less we cry. The more we live, the less we die."
I love that line, all alone it says so much!
I wish everyone had your wisdom!!!!

My Darling Moon...

2005-07-09
I do love the moon, I am simply fascinated how it is connected to us and the earth! How it controls the tides and so many other things. Lovely write!

Dear god...

2005-07-08
Though I have respect for the poet and for the creativity of the poet I have to say that this is dangerous. We damn ourselves with our selfish acts and hatred towards whatever or whoever we disagree with.
Good flow and meter.

SPIRIT IN ACTION

2005-07-08

DIGGING THE DARK UNDERGROWTH

2005-07-08
Ah yes, The sad truth is that we all have it in us to change...so many just refuse and they are the worms that infest the undergroweth of humanity.
You certainly have a way with words and I Love it!!!!! Your poetry inspires me!!!! ~Laura

love

2005-07-08
First of all I love this, it's simple yet elegant!!!!
My take on this is.... Real Love will renew an old dead love., Blossom into something new and beautiful like leaves on a tree, the dead leaves will fall off and new ones will grow in place of the old when nurtured.

.not avaliable.

2005-07-08
I read this twice, getting the vision of someone with a very painful past trying to forget and that is causing even more emotional breakdown. putting old memories away.
Am I anyhwhere even close?
I mean, That is what leaps out at me.
